So I've seen some 1st gen tacomas running around with a chrome tailgate handle. I did a search on here and could not find anything on it.

Does anyone know of a chrome tailgate handle (with lock preferably) that fits/works on a 2004 DCSB?

I searched on rockauto and no chrome handles available for the tailgate either.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks

My 1999 Tacoma is chrome everything but the tailgate handle is painted to the same color as the truck. For my year I could not find a factory chrome option

I've never seen one but I guess anything's possible. The T100 had a chrome handle available but the tailgate handle is a different style. The ones posted above are stick-on appliques, not the handle itself, which is ok if you're after that "Autozone Edition" look.

I've never seen chrome handles for the tailgate on 1st gens. And 1st gens never had factory locking tailgate handles but they make Pop-And-Locks for them.

Thanks. I've seen the pop-and-locks but dang the price on them!

Not too bad. Was like $45 when I got my truck.
