Got my hilift jack in. It bolted right up to the mounts that 4xinnovations put on. I tested it out on the rock sliders and they supported the weight of the truck just fine with very minimal flex. I'm really happy with 4x.IMG_3185.jpg IMG_3188.jpg

Got my TRD pro wheel for the spare, so all 5 match now. Maybe that was a tiny waste of money, but god damn it looks good. 484EFAD8-FF59-407A-A8FA-468EBA7DB758.jpgAnd here is a good picture of my rock sliders because I don’t think I ever uploaded one1B61CDD6-D0AD-4C8A-AE0B-CDCF3725B07C.jpg

Pioneer Radio, New rear bumper (that does not really count though). Going to be upgrading it more and more as time goes on.
Good call on the matching spare!! It adds just a little more to the truck, to make it look that much better!! Nice set up you having going on. Keep us posted.

I kept thinking my hood felt way too hot, but after checking my temps, I’m hovering right at 190. 192 if I just sit and idle with the ac on, so not too bad.

Other news, ordered my toytec lift. I wanted to go with an icon setup since I love how they ride, but toytec won me over. That happens on Wednesday. As much as I don’t like paying somebody to work on my truck, I’m getting it professionally installed. It’s the toytec boss kit. Coil overs and reservoirs and an add-a-leaf. My truck is so heavy that the OME Dakar leaf pack is just overpowered. It’s a little rushed, but we did a mock load out for the Moab trip and found that we were too heavy, so this will bring some peace of mind.

My buddy just got a stage 5 icon kit on his 3rd gen and it is amazing. One of our other buddy’s runs a shop in Wilmington that deals toytec and he talked me into those. Honestly I think any name brand is going to be good. My UCAs are Total Chaos and ive heard good things about them too. Seen lots of guys running them here.

How’s your truck coming along? Where’s yer build thread?

I'm sure you'll like your toytec lift plenty. I used to run Icons and on a day to day basis, they're stiff, regardless of spring rate - it's because of their valving. Good luck with the toytecs and good looking vehicle you've got there. I just moved from near that area, and all my friends are still there, and this build makes me miss it. Simple, clean, fun.

Truck is going well... About that build thread though @Tacomania inspired me to finally get it up by updating his, probably later this weekend. I ended up doing 5100s 883s and a 1.5 AAL. My truck sits about as level front to back as I could ask, and it was cheaper than coilovers. I had a hard time justifying anything more while in college with bigger plans once I get out hopefully. 883s are perfect in my opinion with an arb bumper without winch, I am very happy with the front suspension but the back skampers around a little higher speeds on washboarded gravel/other off-road driving.

Ignore the 35 up front and this is an updated ish pic of my progressIMG_20190817_160640392_HDR.jpg

Bro that looks good! What mounts did you get for your hood lights? You’re practically my twin.
Edit: and we both got our jacks from harbor freight!

5100s and 883s are what I have now. They are fine suspension parts. My truck and me are just getting too fat for them.

My 2 cents, for your build.. 4x rock sliders next. They are the cheapest good ones out there and they keep the door dings away when you park at the mall. Not that you do.
