Eventually I’d like a medium sized pelican on wheels and have a dedicated tool set up for the truck. Duplicates of things so it just lives in the bed. For now I just have a couple tool bags with it all since I’ve ditched my drawer system thing.

I found these plastic organizer bins that fit PERFECTLY in my plano and work well with my ubolt mounts. I think my water ingress comes from where the jumper cables force the front seal apart just enough that water gets through. Not sure though. Really just need to go get another and redo my setup since it has changed, and I'm kinda stuck in this configuration.

580 with the foam? Yeah, its pricey. But It is a solid case, and has a pelican brand on it, so you knew it was gonna be bad.

I have a Kobalt box that fits perfectly behind the passenger seat on the footwell, and holds everything I need to fix the issues I know how to resolve.

Went out to test the new recovery ring and self tied shackle combo. There was some success but ran into camera issues, weather issues, and night fall issues to get some good footage.

    To be continued..

If I get some more soft shackles I might get rid of my hook and get one of those fancy flat aluminum blocks everyone raves about.

Ordered 4:88 gears. Should really help push the buggy’s fat ass along. Looking forward to getting them installed this weekend with the boys.

In other news, as prep for the gears I decided to look itnto why my E locker wasn’t working. Ordered a rebuild kit of hardware and O rings, when they came in I pulled the E locker. The housing was in bad shape, really bad corrosive scaling. Flat head screwdriver, wire brush, and little PB blaster and 20mins later I tried to remove the first bolt of the housing and it snapped. Second bolt to the housing, snapped. Than broke out the drill bits and frustration set in... Don’t nobody gots time for this. So I ordered a new one.

I plan on doing the actual rebuild still but just don’t have the time or place actually.. garage is in paint stage after the renno. Tools, work bench, etc still in storage mode. When I put the garage back together and organize my tools it’ll be a happier place to snap bolts.

Just so there’s less weight overall so less strain on gears during break in?

    Update:

Been doing re-gear break in all week, couple hundred miles to go..

Also nodded the mod. Picked up a Rough Stuff diff cover skid and made it work.. Fitment was way off so I put some relief cuts in it, prebent, welded, big hammered, and welded it to fit.
