Congrats on the cap! So in my opinion, I personally would not pay for an off road class. Although informative it will most likely be very basic stuff. You could alway keep you eyes open for trip to Raush that will have guys with similar trucks running beginner green trails. To me that would be a fun (free) environment to learn as you go at your own pace. Most trails have options to keep your truck out of harms way, especially green trails are more for the less modified trucks and will keep your truck intact for you to daily when you get home. This last trip I touched on a black section and did blue trails for the rest of the day. A lot of dings, dents, and scratches on my skids and sliders but I was still able to drive home and to work today in my truck that I daily drive because of how reserved I was on the trail. I didn't nessesarly take it easy but I didn't go to far beyond my comfort, just had a good time. The choice is yours if you want the thorough basic breakdown of the class or spend the day on the trail with a group that I'm sure have no problems answering any questions or concerns you have.

Agreed on all points Jay said. I feel like I learn more and more on every trip. All the winching and different recoveries this past trip was really an incredible learning experience.
