Has anyone seen a product that replaces the cig lighter receptacle under the hvac panel with dual usb for charging? (4.8a) without cutting wires? Looking for completely plug and play.
(Cig lighter receptacle is Far right of this photo, cut in half)

Tried searching & google but due to the pretty generic terms “usb” “swap” “lighter” I found nothing

I replaced the one in the center console. I didn't cut the wires, you can remove the original connectors out of the plastic "L" and connect them to the new one.

    Yeah that’s a good idea.
Do you know how the fwd one is connected by chance? I just had the dash apart yesterday and forgot to check like an idiot...

after I posted this I found some blade connection dual usbs. Probably the easiest & cheapest route

There's a build thread along similar lines to this I thought I had watched but couldn't find.

Anyways... Be basically swapped the one on the dash and in the center console to both be higher amps/dual USB in a super clean way...

Why not try to find something like this?
    https://griffintechnology.com/us/powerjolt-dual-universal-micro

I've had mine for three years now and it'll charge an Ipad and my Samsung S8 at the same time. It said to only be 5 volts @ 1amp but it charges my phone from 50% to full in about 20 minutes, 10% ipad to full takes about an hour though.

I replaced my old USB with a Bluesea fast charge dual USB. I didn’t cut any wires just ran it to the battery. A7820CDE-66F0-4CCC-9C84-76CB4E1FE522.jpgE67A6CE0-BB29-4CA1-AF43-20247A385061.jpg
