cigarette charger does not work

    My 2005 toyota tacoma cigarette lighter or 12v charger does not work,checked the fuse box, cannot locate the fuse, need help.

    Saw this on another forum. :anonymous:

    changing the 15A "Power Outlet" fuse behind the driver's side kick panel fixed the issue. A spare fuse was contained under the fuse box lid in the engine compartment, and I had to pop out the little change drawer on the driver's side kick panel (right where your left knee would be) to get access to the fuse panel. The back of the drawer has the fuse location diagram.

    Why is this such a common problem. Its not really a big deal if it doesnt work but I want to listen to my ipod!
