Anyone know where the cigarette lighter relay is located on 2016 models. Trying to get constant 12v.

It's the hole you jam your phone charger into.

The name is a left-over. Apparently once upon a time it was common for people to take a dried plant leaf that'd been chopped up and rolled into a paper tube, heat it until it was smoldering, and then inhale the various gasses and chemical compounds released by that smoldering combustion. Whatever was left of these leaf/paper assemblies would get thrown out the window and accumulate at the side of the road.

Relay is built in internally in the Dash fuse box. The ciggeratte lighter isn't a constant 12v it's an accessory trigger.

If you need a solid 12v constant source inside the truck use the thick black wire at the dash fuse box

Honestly, I loved having the actual cigarette lighter in my cars. Came in handy when camping to start fires, heating up shrink tube, melting anything you wanted, lighting paper tubes filled with leaves...

This is the kick panel removed next to the brake pedal. The thick red and green wires are constantly hot on the top plug with the red, green, black, and blue wires.

I don’t like to just tap any wire without knowing what they do. Anyone have any idea? Seems like a better option than the really thick black wire mentioned above.

Connector IA1 - Red wire is from 30 amp AM No.2 to Starter Relay.
Blue is from 40 amp Towing Brake No. 1 (I'd chose this one)
    Black is Towing Brake Ground
Green is part of Starting Relay Circuit.

Awesome thanks! Question how do you know this? I see those wiring diagrams and I don’t get how to read them.

Well with time and a huge screen, split the views and search the circuits...lots of guess on to where they are..then bundle it all up. Nice clear pic BTW:thumbsup:

The Black wire (1L) mentioned before juices the following:
    7.5 amp Dome
    7.5 amp AM2 No. 2
    15 amp Hazards
    5 amp MPX-B
    20 amp STRG LOCK
    20 amp D/L (Door lock)
