    I have changed the fuse for it twice, and it keeps on blowing. I have noticed that the battery of my truck seems to be a bit week and i am wondering if that is the problem. If not the weak battery, do you think its my amp that is blowing the fuse? Any ideas guys??

    You have a stereo amp plugged into it? They are only rated for a certain amount of draw, and any more will get the fuse too hot and will blow it. Do not put a higher amp fuse in there, you can fry the wiring and start a fire.

    Hardwire the amp to the battery with an inline fuse rated to the correct amperage for the amount your amp draws.

    What amp do you have?

    No i dont have the amp connected to the cigarette plug, i was just thinking it might be draining all the power from the truck. I have a mtx 1000 watt amp, but for some reason i think its my weak battery. What do you think man?

    A weak battery will not cause fuses to blow. What are you plugging into the power outlet? How much current does it draw?

    My print shows a single 15 ampere fuse for Both Outlets Cig Lighter and Power Point. If that is exceeded it will blow the fuse. The only other thing in the circuit is the Wiring and the Accessory Relay.

    Assuming that the 15 Ampere Fuse is the one getting blown. You probably are over loading it with what is plugged in or you have a wire shorting to ground. Have you modified anything electrical recently?

    i only have those usb plug ins so i can charge my i phone but thats about it. i did my sounds a long time ago before this happened

    A weak battery shouldn't blow the fuse(Does it blow with a running engine?). If it's blowing only when you use the phone charger, I would suspect a bad ground. Pull the cig socket and inspect the wires in the back of the socket for corrosion or rubbing on metal. CLean and tightened your battery terminals if corroded or loose and maybe even have Autozone load test the battery and alternator for free if you suspect a low battery. Cold weather takes more battery juice (cold cranking amps) to start your truck and you don't want to be stranded.
