Maduro or the darker sticks doesn't necessarily mean that they're stronger.

The strongest cigar I've smoked thus far has been the Cu Avana Punisher. I smoke full-bodies religiously, but this one was far beyond what I've ever had. It's a mixture between your head swimming and literally, taking a spicy pepper, cutting it up and packing it between your lips and your gums. I'm not exaggerating, you have to try it yourself.

Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that Xikar DOES honor their lifetime warranty- I sent in my cutters a few weeks ago because they stopped springing out, and they mailed me a brand new set in the box for free. I'd definitely buy a set if you're looking for a quality pair.

I was into cigars for a couple of years, but I was starting to enjoy them too much. The realization of how I was spending per month on them caused me to back off quite a bit. Just about all of the cigars that I liked were from Nicaragua.

    My favorites were:

    1. Oliva Series V Lancero
    2. Tatuaje (almost anything that they made)
    3. Don Pepin Garcia
    4. My Father (made by Pepin and Jamie Garcia)

You might want to avoid Thompson's. They are universally despised by most of the cigar aficionados. Most of them complained that they received dried out cigars. Also, if you get on Thompson's mailing list, they don't ever take you off. You will their catalogs until the day you die.

I used Holt's Cigar Co., CI, and Famous Smoke Shop and always had excellent service.

thats exactly why I bought that brand. I figured if just a pair of the cheapo $25 cutters quit on me, it would only take 2 before I could have one that replaces them under warranty. I also signed up on their website and have the leather pouch coming in the mail

i love cigars! but, sinus cancer runs in my family..it ran rampant. doc said to never start tobacco products. i listened.

i love smokeless, and i love cigars. i could get hooked easy. now i just smoke a nice cigar every once in awhile. at the campfire during deer-camp. upper deck on a cruise ship, etc.

hunting, i occasionally take a pinch of my friend's smokeless. it is all wonderful.

Looking to try my first cigar, I have always wanted to try one. My wife is leaving for Texas in a week to stay with our son so this is the perfect time. She hates smoking, of anything. This is not a hobby I plan on taking up, just something I would like to try, relaxing in the backyard with a nice glass of JD. What would you suggest for an enjoyable first smoke in the backyard.

All you had to do was mention JD and a cigar and it gave me an instant boner....

Being a CIGAR VIRGIN you defintely want to go with something mild. My preferences would be a Romeo y Julieta 1875 or a La Gloria Cubana (NOT A MADURO of course....)

Just make sure you buy a hand rolled cigar and not that machine rolled shit they sell in drug stores or the corner market.

I have several "smoke" shops in the area. I have no intentions of going to the drug store to pick up a .25 cent smoke. I'm looking for something to relax and enjoy.
