Love it in peco de Gallo . That and carrots are the only things left in my garden.

I have planted Cilantro many times but it either gets picked too fast or gets ignored and turns into some weird looking weed.

It's cheap enough and always available here so I pick up a new bunch about once a week.

Oddly enough I like roasting coriander seeds and adding it to things, but I'm not a huge fan of cilantro itself.

It pisses me off when I order a burrito and I specifically ask for no pico de gallo because I don't want any cilantro - then they add guacamole with cilantro in it..

One morning I was driving from Orange County to San Diego and I stopped at a place in San Clemente for a breakfast burrito.
After San Clemente there's San Onofre power plant, then Camp Pendelton Army base, so by the time I discovered that they added a ton of cilantro there's nowhere to turn around for about twenty miles.
I was so fucking pissed!!!! I'm still emotionally scarred from that morning.

That devil herb never should have been tasted by the human tongue. So many otherwise-delicious burritos, soups, etc. have been ruined by its vile presence.

It has the most disgusting metallic taste. It tastes like you’re adding a hefty spoonful of powdered iron to your food.

There's a spot near me that has a Mexican Pizza. Basically topped with grilled chicken and what amounts to the ingredients in pico de gallo (tomato onion cilantro) and drizzled with crema after it's baked (basically watered down sour cream). No marinara, but they use some other tomato sauce that has more of a salsa flavor (El Pato for those in the know). It's actually pretty fucking good.

It's pretty simple- just as I described above. I remember eating it and thinking "I could make this". Mozzarella (or maybe jack) and thin crust and you're good to go. I think it might have even had a hint of lime. It was at a hipster place that used a brick oven so there was that- sometimes they get it right.
