SIL has '00 T4R that has my name on it when he gets a new Tundra he's been saving for. It will be submersible in time! I just have to live long enough......

I'm considering selling the Ducati and decking out a Wildcat Trail when we start trying for kids. Then I'll race the shit out of everything out there.

@dirty deeds I didn't get in the fox buy, just told everyone about it. Wanted to but I promised the wife next year before suspension since it will be my priciest upgrade. Plus if I build the whole damn truck in 2 years I'll be bored of it too soon!

They're so cute at this age.... Actually thinks he'll "finish" a build.

    It never ends.

    Write that down.

I've actually got a fairly good idea of where it will end. Until I own it completely I'm not doing long travel or any of that crap cause that will slowly be the death of it. Awning, tent, armor, suspension, front bumper and winch, then she done. Until I get 35s. Then 37s. Then a solid front axle. Then 40s cause fuck it that's why.

And then someone comes out with new stuff that you just HAVE to have....

    Plan changes.

I'm on changing plans vehicle #17. Every one STARTED with an iron clad plan.
    That's the fun part.

Not sure if trails were that easy at Rush, or people were being too careful, or I was just that much more comfortable with the 5100s, but I was always finding myself alone out front. Only person following that never left my mirrors was Bill.
I'm on this similar path. I also know it will never be "done".

Build it to wheel with your friends. I'm at a very happy state with my truck as I can have fun with everyone I wheel with. I struggle some times following nwitaco and his 40s, but still have a blast riding with people on 33s. Also i can find something for my truck at every park that I can push my trucks limits if I want to.

Wise words!! Some of the overbuilt mods I've done are just so I can spend less time wrenching on my rig or seating tires to my rim. These things don't necessarily take away from the fun with friends but do cut into beer/BS time. I always have a great time!!

I'd go 5100s or the 6150s or whatever they are, but I really want a progressive valved shock. Most of our wheeling is slow and most of my truck driving is 50 and under so I feel thatd give me a cushier ride

Pretty sure I held that show up a good bit. I was usually the 3rd or 4th behind you and plenty times I got outta sight of the truck in front of me.

My driver mod was a bit different than everyone elses. 4LO and 1st or 2nd gear almost the whole trail ride.

Driver mod is different for everyone, but what counts is the experience that you gain every time you're out. I saw the videos you were in Chris, and from what I've seen you're doing awesome in a stock truck.

I tend to go slow, but keep moving. If whoever is behind me gets out of sight for more than a minute, I'll shut 'er down and wait until they catch up. Quite honestly, the group at Rush did an EXCELLENT job of staying grouped up as much as can be expected, and kept moving as much as possible. We covered a good bit of mileage. It stayed at a comfortable pace that didn't get out of hand...so pretty damn close to perfect! Most groups tend to stop too often for my benefit. Just stay in contact. Back markers should do a lot of talking. Let the front know you're still there. It's up to the leaders to set a pace but not run off and leave everyone. The Rush group did a great job! This was an enjoyable day.
