My SIL has a 2000 4Runner with what could best be described as "ground effects". Never did quite figure that out. Steps and flares will be coming off soon, along with the MASSIVE receiver hitch on the rear. That's lower than the rear diff....

    Uh oh! :duel:

Vans are the shit! Personally, I'd drive the piss outta a 4wd Ford or Chevy with a shorter-ish wheelbase. Seen quite a few nice expo styled ones in my area. Also, seem a bit rapey though.

Caps on trucks...just not for me. Matt uses the shit out of his, but he may not ever haul the types of things that I do for me to NOT want a cap.
I think some of the reason I'm hesitant toward a cap and a bed rack is the fact I live alone. No one at the ready to help me remove it when I need it off, and help put it back on.

I'm also a cheap m'fer and refuse to pay $700 for fiberglass and carpet:anonymous:

I'm afraid that if I drove a van, I would feel a constant obligation to park it down by the river and live in it.

So we do any meet ups that don't require more than 3 inches of ground clearance?

Beer and food would make any meetup fun. Especially in the winter when it’s cold out

Damn dude. Mine isn't even that bad, and I was first through all the holes and even deliberately found holes.
Buy a pressure washer and you might actually like getting muddy
