Typically, the "floor" of the liner is concrete, and the walls are fiberglass, (in our case) or a plastic material with structural reinforcements around the outside like ribs. Ours is fiberglass. Really, really thick fiberglass with rebar for ribs.

BTDTwith a "club grounds" for dirt bikers....We put together 50 of us with a $500 initial investment, then $250 yearly until the mortgage was paid in full. Shortly after we got things rolling, we got hit with a lawsuit over some kid getting hurt while tresspassing. Then our insurance went through the proverbial roof.....Then the in-fighting started. Then I sold my interest and quit running into trees on a dirt bike.

Moral of the story....It SOUNDED good. Everyone's heart was in the right place.....But in the end, NOTHING is ever as simple as it appears.

Part of my job involves taking care of two pools. One is an Olympic size, "concrete" pool. (Actually "Gunnite") As big as it is, as HEAVY as it is, it will float out of the ground if left empty and the water table happens to rise. And thatll crack 'em into a zillion pieces. So it sits there through the winter with 335,000 gallons of water holding it down.

A member owned and operated 4x4 park could work but it needs to be a minimum number of managing partners and the others are regular members. What would work best is like a hunting lease arrangement...where a group leases and maintains the land for an annual fee.

I'm in on this. The issue I have is all of the legality of previously stated situations. Trespassing and injuries. Wavers are simple enough, and requiring certain safety equipment is fine.

When push comes to shove, waivers aren't worth the paper they're printed on. The technicality of law that get's 'em tossed in the trash is, you cannot sign away your right to be protected from someone else's negligence.

Well, maybe we find a spot that isn't so easy to find. 20 foot razor wire fence surrounding the area, and trail cams throughout.

Best way to keep no-count people away now days is to stand at the property line and hand out job applications. They'll turn and run!

Well, we would need property maintainers and security.

Hire them on contract so that if they don't do their job, they get sued?
