Hi All! Ed here in Cincinnati - formerly from Athens, GA...I've been here since June but for some unknown reason just found this thread Nov. 16...better late than never!!

I live in Terrace Park, OH and am regularly between Mariemont and Milford and occasionally down to Hwy. 32.

    Thank you!
This is my second tacoma, I used to have a prerunner and now I have this tacoma 4x4. The only wheeling I've done was in military vehicle, but I'm looking forward to taking the tacoma offroad.
I live in Forest Park, so I think we're pretty close.
I'll definitely hit you up if I work on my truck, same goes to you, if you plan on doing any work on your truck, eve if you don't need help, let me know, maybe I can learn something.
Are there any easy trails around? Unpaved hilly roads or anything like that? Within 30 mins drive?

Sounds like a great wrench fest to me! Let's get a date set when you have all parts in. I would love to throw some beers at that.

It's on my bucket list for sure to go back to off road. Last time was for wedding. Doubt I will go this year but may make it a destination for 2017. I'm still a stocker and won't get the upgrades started until late spring anyway.

Let me make a phone call tomorrow and see if I can drum up a very spacious heated shop that's just north of Hamilton. It's used in the summer time but empty all winter. Not making any promises.....but MAYBE......!?!?!?!

I'm thinking it's about a washout. We're getting HARD rain right now. It measured right at 1.9" when I got home 2 hours ago and is flat POURING down now. Supposed to rain until later tonight. Then Saturday is anyone's guess. The weather guessers are saying temps anywhere from 25 to 50, rain, maybe snow, probably sleet....We've got our 10-year old grandson for the weekend. This kid is the prototypical "pig pen"....I can just imagine my truck's interior after a day in the mud.

And I'm having either back trouble OR kidney trouble at the moment. Gotta see how that shakes out.

So....On the radar still, looking for a decent weekend either first or second Saturday in December, hoping to make one more trip to Black Mountain this year. Once upon a time, NOTHING would have kept me out of the woods. I guess I'm getting to be a weenie in my old age...:(

Hamilton is a little far for me but i'd definitely try to show up to help turn some wrenches. Could bring a few cut off wheels and a welder if anybody wants to get real serious lol :welder:

    Will weld for beeer

I don't know which list is longer......The things I've done FOR beer, or the things I've done BECAUSE of beer.....! ;)

    Then there's the bourbon list's.....

I'm 90 minutes away from Cincy. Last trip to Hamilton took me about 2 hours and 20 minutes, but that was on a Friday afternoon @ rush hour.

Anyway, just got off the phone with my buddy who has the shop there. Struck out. He's renting it out as boat storage space while he's in Florida for the winter. I offered to tow a few boats home and get 'em out of the way, but that offer was declined too.

If I'd ever get serious and clean out my garage, we'd have all sorts of room. It's big enough to get 4 cars in at one time (when it's empty) I used to restore (and paint) antique tractors. Had 2 farm tractors in it at one time.... Now I can barely make enough room for the door knob when I shut the door. :(

Conversely, I do all my wrenching/welding/modding in the yard as I have no garage. I vote you clean out that garage and we have wrenching/mod day at your place! Get the Ebay app and sell enough to pay for your build! If you have a 220v drop we can weld ALL the Tacomas lol!

Work third shift, already had a few beeer :anonymous:

Hey guys, I have a quick question that you may be able to answer, I do think really want to start a thread. I want to get rid of my spacer and block lift (3 inches) and just level the front with adjustable shocks.
    Is the lift difficult?
Would I have alignment problems after the removal?

    Thanks in advance.
