Kerry is where I bought my truck & they were great through the process & for the
5,000 mile maintenance. It's time to give them a call & get the 10,000 mile checkup now.

Hey guys! Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm in the Mt. Healthy area, but got my truck from Beechmont due to demanding a stick, had to work with that miniscule supply. Planning on going down to Dirty Turtle Saturday for a day trip to see what the truck can do, anyone want to join in? I would love a guide, I don't have alot of experience offroading. Planning to leave at 0800.

Incidentally that is *actually* where I live (Miles Woods Subdivision). There's a dude on Trapp with a badass Grand Wagoner too. I have definitely seen you. Thanks for the meetup info!

Dirty Turtle is the slimiest, slickest mud on the face of the earth. When dry, it's a walk in the park. When wet, you better take camping gear and provisions for staying until summer. It's not a difficult place to navigate, but there are hills that are just about impassible unless you have VERY good mud tires and a fair bit of horsepower. The hills aren't huge, but they can be steep enough to stop you and there isn't much of a run at them in most cases. It's NOT a place to take a relatively tame street truck when wet. The trails start on high ground and go down into a creek bed. You can get down there, but getting back out may prove to be your undoing.

I help cut many of the trails on that property back in the early '90's. I was on a Honda CR250 dirt bike. It was like being on greased ice when it was wet. It's got slicker if anything. I live not too far from DT, so it's very a convenient location. I'd be burning the place up if it wasn't such a bitch to get around this time of the year. Will NOT catch me in the place during wet season.

I've been into off roading since the early '70's when I got my first 4wd. In almost 45 years, I've never been without a 4wd. I'm on Toyota #5, and 4wd #17. In my younger days, it was not uncommon to be off road 5 or 6 days a week. So this ain't my first rodeo.....

Hey man, I live in Forest Park, pretty close to Mt. Healthy. I'd love to go with you, but I'm working night shifts at the moment and 0800 is usually the time I go to bed. Maybe in a couple of weeks when I go back to day shift? Good to see people in the area trying to get something going though.

We should try for a meet up sometime soon, I used to live in Cincy but moved to the Florence area. I'll be heading up to the Dayton Offroad expo early on Sunday if anyone is interested.

Howdy! We're up in Carrolton Ky quite a bit (daughter/son-in-law live there) and periodically in Florence!

My girlfriend and I ran the Tennessee Dirt Devil with you and your wife. We'll both be looking forward to seeing you again at LBL.

I want something to happen! The Ohio thread is only "best buds" talking to each other about who knows what and Moab talk. Nearly quit follwing the thread for this.
I reckon this hillbilly isn't in their group lol

I like the idea, I can do next Saturday. The later in the day the better since I sleep during the day, maybe after 3 or 4PM....or what time were you thinking?

I might be able to swing that. Little late in the day since it's a 2.5 hour drive
