Were you using OEM cvs? Most standard aftermarket cvs are junk. CVJ axles rebuilds oem only but can add hi angle boots.

    Head unit. That's it.

My stock CV axles boots tore within a week. Granted, they were old.

I replaced the entire axle on both sides because, well, free replacements.

So, I rebooted the stock axles and waited for the new axle boots to tear on the new axles. 8 months.

Put the stock axles back in it.

I dont want to mess with that. AT ALL.

Then dont lift it overly high like you did the Tacoma. That one suspension shot posted in your build thread is obviously too much CV angle.

I know you are jaded because of that, but the vast majority lift some and have no problems for hundreds of thousands of miles. My only initial point was I think youll have trouble finding good stock-height parts so lift it a little + better tire clearance + obviously better looks.

New taco owner. Getting 3-1 pro-comp lift installed on 2/13/19 at 4 Wheel Parts. Putting on these while they're at it. SCS SR8's 17x8.5 285/70/17 duratracs.20190202_122725.jpg 20190202_122528.jpg 20190202_122736.jpg

Nice wheels. Do you plan to off-road at all?

Those SR8's are growing on me. I wonder it the gunmetal would look good on my white truck.

Nice! Now ditch those farm plates and the air dam under the bumper. Will help the overall look!

I've got 3rd gen OR wheels on mine. They're kinda gunmetal painted if you ignore the machined face parts. Look damn good, I'd definitely run a gunmetal painted wheel on white.

From what I can tell, Sport wheels and OR wheels are pretty much the same design. What do you think?
