No vibration at all! And I can’t believe I was actually able to back the trailer into my sister’s driveway. That whole turning the wheel the opposite way while going backwards thing is confusing.

Would definitely be interested in doing something again. Honestly I’m not sure of many good areas that are close and actually legal to be on.

Had another great day on the trails in Vinton County... This time is was a solo outing with just me the wife and our trusty dog Jasper. We really need to get a group of Toyotas up there together. It is awesome!

Made it home from NC with the trailer still in one piece! Averaged between 9-10 miles per gallon on the trip though, so not exactly something I’ll be volunteering to do again anytime soon...

    Do seat covers count?
Glad to hear! My buddy pulled a big car trailer with his Ranger beater with is 17 Tacoma. Luckily it was only a few miles he estimated it was about 5500 lbs in total. He said for a midsized truck it honestly didn't do too terribly bad. I hope to get a camper down the road the goal is to get something less than 3500lbs.

If I had to guess, the fully loaded trailer weighed in between 3000 and 3500 pounds. The truck did great, I didn’t feel like it struggled at all. The drive down was more stressful as I could feel the weight of the trailer pushing on the truck (large bumps were fun...) and it definitely took more effort to maintain speed, especially going up the bigger hills. But the drive home with the empty trailer wasn’t bad at all. Outside of some long inclines, I was able to keep the RPMs down and still maintain speed for the most part. Gas mileage sucked all around, but some of that was my oversized tires and the rest was likely how tall the trailer is. A shorter height trailer probably would have helped with the wind resistance, but overall the entire trip went better than expected.

If I were going to tow something that heavy more consistently, I’d definitely be looking at a stiffer rear leaf pack. The OEM TSB pack with AAL and overload did fine but I could feel the weight of the trailer on the rear of the truck more than I liked. And I think a stiffer pack would handle the extra weight and help with the overall feeling while towing.

Anyone looking for a spare tire wheel? I have the wheel off of my truck collecting dust in storage and want rid of it. I have it posted in the for sale thread, but wanted to post it here as well for good measure. I'd be willing to work a pretty sweet deal for any of the locals... PM me for the deets!

Anyone know who has the Cement TRD Pro running in the Florence area? Saw Ditch lights, single row LED bar in the bumper, and a CB antenna sticking up in the back.

I've now seen it twice in the last few days, but never thought to take a photo. Just saw it again at Kerry Toyota.

Yep. Had 285/70/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers in standard load put on a little under two weeks ago. No more annoying vibes/shaking at highway speed now. I wouldn’t have made the trip to NC and back on the KO2s...

    How heavy is your trailer?

After I get my trans fixed, im looking on rehearing and getting a military trailer which I believe are somewhere around 3-4,000 lbs.

Trans is fucked up though, so gotta figure that out

Still have them in the garage. Need to get pictures of them off the truck so I can list them for sale. They have 14/32nds of tread left and still look new so hopefully someone will buy them. They just didn’t agree with my truck...

It’s my uncle’s trailer and he said it weighed around 1600 pounds empty but I think it’s closer to 2000 pounds. And my dad stuffed it to the max with crap for the move so if I had to guess I’d say I hauled between 3000-3500 pounds down there. And yeah, different gears would help tremendously with the larger tires but that’s not something on my to do list anytime soon.

Would anyone here local have purchasing interest in a large Toyota tool box and two smaller side tool boxes. I kept the thinking I’d use them again someday but with the cap, I don’t see that day coming and I could use the space in my garage better.

Dont have a price in mind. Just curious if there’s any interest.
