I've been watching Meat Eater on Netflix, kick ass show. Definitely makes me want to get out there, but I didn't secure any land this year... And I've hunted enough public land in my area to no longer have a death wish.

 

The podcast is even better.

I only just found it and binged almost all of the 4 seasons on there in like 2 weeks. I'll have to find the others another way, I haven't had cable TV for a couple years, because why lol

 

I don’t know anyone with cable to satellite anymore except at work.

 

I wish they would put more episodes on each season. Season 8 only has 8 episodes and that’s not near enough. They’re filming season 9 right now

 

Watched a few episodes of meat eater myself. Dude got so freaking lucky in the elk hunting episode that they found it...

So my truck has developed an annoying metal clank sound when I am turning the steering wheel and hitting a bump. Any ideas?

My first thought was the sway bar has to be hitting something but I crawled under both sides, grabbed it with both hands, wiggled and twisted and didn’t hear anything. Obviously this doesn’t mean it’s not the culprit but it barely moves and I already have a sway bar relocation kit installed. There’s about an inch or so of clearance between the bar and the coil perch on both sides and I can’t see any signs of it making contact on either side.

My second thought (after some quick research) is that my LCA bolts may not be tight enough. I had both lower arms replaced about two months ago and I’m wondering if the alignment tech didn’t torque them to spec. I read a few threads about loose LCA bolts causing noises when hitting bumps and turning so I may need to get under the truck and check them with a torque wrench.

Everything in my front suspension has been replaced in the last year or two. The only original parts left are the sway bar end links. Is there anything else I may be overlooking as the potential cause of my mystery clank? It doesn’t happen often but I hear it the most when I am turning into a driveway with a curb or going over a speed bump with the front wheels angled at all.

 

My buddy drew a KY bull elk archery tag a few years ago. I was down helping him spot, guide, etc. I watched a dude through the spotting scope stalk a cow, got within 40 yards drew, hit an branch and deflect the arrow into the hind quarts of the elk. He went back up to us to talk about it, we told him to wait for hours....he didn't. He walked down there about 30 minutes later and found the elk 40 yards from where he shot it. Apparently it deflected directly into the femoral artery. That's crazy lucky.
