    Oh, hahaha.

    Its our property. Farm life.

    Kid life.

I can handle the work, its the school work and add work load at work that is putting most of the pressure on my schedule. (I could very easily get a call that needs attention on a Saturday and need to fly immediately to Texas, Germany, Japan or Ireland.

School will be interesting this year. HAHAHAHA. Mandatory Covid-19 testing before I return to campus.

okay, let me ask this way...could you tell where I would be traveling to if I offered my help?

I have 20+ years experience cutting, fluffing, raking and bailing hay. Chainsaws recently sharpened, gloves well worn in and ready for use.

just need to know where traveling to, to understand if I can offer aid as previously requested.

It takes me about an hour to get to West Chester, Ohio, Ikea and Top Golf, lol. I'm in Connersville, Indiana. A proper 15 minutes from Haspin Acres.

Ripped off all four mudflaps. Scratches all down both sides 6112’s up front on 3rd notch 5100’s in back with Toytech 1” block Skids & sliders from SOS Concepts I got rid of the 1” block and put on Wheelers 1 1/2” progressive AAL. SPC UCA. Be sure your standing on the drivers side when reading the instructions! I swapped sides so many times that I can swap UCA’s in 15 minutes. I put in the 3/4” spacer to eliminate the Taco Lean, and just got my 4th alignment. Traded the OEM rims for 17” Sport rims and a bora bora 1” spacer. I got my Firestone 285/70/17 MT2’s. Pelfreybilt gas tank skid and hi-lift jack should be here Friday. Looking at bumpers, but I think they will wait for next year. So far I’m happy with my build. I’ve done it all myself, leading to a lot of cussing and frustration, but it’s all mine.
    I have a question
Is there any performance advantage with 17” rims over 16” rims?

Bigger brakes fit with 17” rims. I can run 16” rims with the 5th Gen T4R calipers and rotors I have installed. They’d rub.

Like @09TRDSport4x4 said, performance in mind, only to fit larger brakes. Easier to find tires, it seems, in 17" though, but that's more size-specific. 255/85 just isn't easy to come by on 16".

    I’m thinking about the 285/75/16. They’re almost 33”
I have a SPC uppers plus 1” spacers and zero offset rims (I think) so rubbing shouldn’t be an issue.
I have been considering bigger brakes though.

The 16" tire sizes are always larger compared to the closest 17s. Like 255/80r17s are nearly always smaller than the 255/85r16 just because of the ratios. That said, there are some nice sizes in 17 that just dont exist in a comparable 16 like the 285/75r17.

That said those 285/75r16s will be larger than the 285/70r17s most likely. More cushion for the pushin' too!

You can do the BS/offset math, there's an equation out there. Measure your BS and wheel width, that's all you need for the calculator to get your offset.

If you park in a garage, know the clearance height before going taller.

    I’m stuck at 255/75r17

I tried convincing my wife that I already had 40k on my tires,,, which was stupid of me.

I don't park in mine, but I do work in it. Truck's too long, old garage built for older cars. I'm scary close to the roof touching the door header on 255s before the fronts are off the ground...315s just mean level the garage and turn into carport lol

    Ugh, old garages suck...

My truck is barely in the garage here. Garage is only 18 feet deep, truck is about 17’4” long bumper to bumper. I’ve got it on jack stands and have about 8” to squeeze past it in the front if I need to get to the other side with the door closed. Height clearance wasn’t an issue on the 285/70/17s with 3” lift though. I’ve got another two inches or more of clearance up top. But I also don’t plan on living here for too much longer.

My issue is just the door opening. I should just organize (yeah right!) and I could pull the cab in further beyond it. Backing the truck in, pretty well screwed no matter what, getting it to sit "level".

I hope to soon (2 years tops) have built a pole barn for detailing on a nice slab of concrete with drains and pits in the floor. It will have BIG ASS doors and be deep enough to pull two pontoon boats in and detail at the same time.

This will afford me the ability to go larger, because like most of you, my garage is old (1943) and it just cant take it.

I pulled the F350 in to detail it the other day, could only fit the front and the front doors in. Then I had to flip it around. Huge pain in the ass.

This is the reason I ordered 9x9 doors on my new garage. Also for the boat to fit
