Hey all, new member here from Olympia, WA.

My Tacoma journey started with my first truck when I was 18, a 1996 Tacoma (pictured below). Sold it when I was in college to upgrade to a full-size Chevy. Wish I would have kept it and done the solid axle swap.

Fast forward 20 years and I’ve had two full size Chevy’s, a Tundra, and my latest truck was a 2021 Ram 2500 diesel.

Was getting tired of daily driving the diesel, and the opportunity came up for my dad and I to split his old 2008 GMC Duramax for the rare occasion that him or I actually NEED a diesel. So, last month I traded my Ram in on this 2023 TRD OR with 36k miles.

Already done a few mods while I over analyze what I want to do suspension wise. It will be my daily driver/hunting rig, and with running kids back and forth to sporting events, I am going to keep it pretty moderate.

    Here’s how she sits now:

Love it... Now go find a fun old truck like you had to refresh. It's a ton of fun and you can still find decent trucks in that age range for relatively cheap. Especially if you are willing to rebuild it yourself.

Love the sun roof on the 96
