I was in Circuit city yesterday. Everything is 20%-50% off. I loaded up on PS3 games & Blu-ray movies. Also regular dvd's were selling for $4-$12. I picked up a few of those as well.

The only thing I saw that wasn't a good deal, was PC's & components.

They are closing all the GA stores and some in other states so the company can realign their operations & become profitable again.

Circuit City Stores Inc. is closing 155 of its more than 700 U.S. stores by Dec. 31. The stores are spread throughout 28 states, including multiple locations in areas like Phoenix and Atlanta.

^ Did they have much left. I saw the sign, but figured it would be really picked over.

I thought it would have been picked over also. I told my 11yr old Son, lets go look. I told him it is probably a bunch of crap left.

They still had a bunch of DVD's,music CD's, Flat panel tv's, Video games. Tons of Rockband & Guitar hero systems.

I picked up 2 games that just came out for PS3, Grand theft Auto 4 for $44. And Brothers in Arms Hells highway $44. These were in a locked case at the end aisle. I had to get an employee to get them.

The one in Manassas is closing, too. I went there a couple of weeks ago, the bastards took all the computers, hardware and monitors to another circuit city that wasn't closing. I did pick up a few pc games and movies.

Circuit city has always been over-priced on alot of their stuff. 'Course they don't hire the brightest of the bunch either.

I saw alot of PC stuff that was way over priced even after the discount. I told this one hottie that was looking at a wireless keyboard & mouse for $89 after the discount. She could get that at another store(Micro center) up the road for $40. That is where I got mine & paid that. She said it looked kinda expensive for a going out of business sale.

DVD's,CD's,& Video games were great deals!

    Eh guys,
Just be careful...i was watching the news and they were going around stores that were going out of business....like linens and things and they say that the liquidators raise the hell out of the prices and trick you into thinking you're getting a good deal. One of the news reporters bought some things and found that the original price tag was way cheaper. Just be on the look out cause they were mentioning Circuit city also....
    Take it easy guys

I think all of the GA stores are closing. And several in other states.

Here in Charlottesville, VA out Circuit City is closing too. The wife says "Let's just take a look. Maybe we'll get some printer cartridges for cheap"

We left with the printer stuff, new dvd burner for the computer, and a Samsung 56" DLP. No price hiking to make it seem like a good deal. I did my research (love my Blackberry btw) and everything was 40 - 60% off. Saved well over $700 in all.
