I am battling a similar problem on our 95.5 V6/4spd after the truck warms up. Crank and runs for 1-2 seconds and shuts off. I have located the COR, and have access to one from a friend soon. The truck is currently up on jack stands with the front end apart. Replacing the passenger side steering knuckle (bearing is shot), upper/lower ball joints, strut assemblies and a full power stop Z36 brake system. Once I get that done, I will be able to drive around to get to temp properly and maybe bypass the COR. Has anyone else done that? I am thinking pins 1-2 jumper will do that. I will do it while the COR is connected as I believe there are some other signal pass through.

Yeah buddy......me and you think alike.....

.....but here''s the problem.....you get the ground from ecm....to close the circuit ....right

what happens if you accidently send 12v back up that ground lead going back to ecm

will that fry the ecm out

or and if you bypass/sever that ground line permanently ...will that still keep the ecm happy and still do all the other crap it has to do
