    WHAT 2010.TRD SAID!^^^^
    &
    Preferably in the colder months.

    BTW, This will be my wife & I's first time going to Citrus & our first time camping ever. I have an 800 watt Power Inverter

    [IMG]

    which is hardwired to the truck with an in-line fuse & a marine type ON/OFF switch mounted under the hood. This way NO power goes to the inverter when it's not in use. I powered my toaster oven with it (with the truck running) so I'm good there. I haven't tried the coffee pot yet but I will soon.

    I would like to know what you experienced campers recommend that I take along with me to Citrus:

    List so far:

    * 2008 DCSB 4.0 Prerunner with OEM 3/1 leafs & 3-leaf AAL, 5100's with fronts @ 1.75 & OEM mechanical LSD bought new 14,000 miles ago, & 285/70r17 GY M/T's on 17x7.5 FJ Alloy wheels.
    RIDE HEIGHT (hub to fender)
    LF 22.25 RF 22.25
    LR 24.25 RR 24.25
    (need this to get there in the first place, LOL)

    * Wife
    (need her to stay warm :) )

    * Tent (I assume there are designated camp sites?)

    * Inflatable mattress

    * First Aid Kit (2)

    * Sweaters/Jackets

    * Tools

    * Shovel

    * Duct Tape (the most important & versatile tool EVER!)

    * 20 or 30 ft (don't remember how long) snatch strap

    * TRD tow hook installed on front & OEM tow hitch on rear

    * Ratchet strap (2)

    * Cell phone charger (2)

    * Food

    * Water

    * Toaster Oven

    * Coffee Maker

    * Extension cord

    * Small electric space heater OR heated blanket

    * Campsite type grill & charcoal

    * Soap

    * Portable air compressor

    What else do you recommend that I take?

    You'll be all set Peter. anything you don't brings, someone else will have, but it looks like you have just about everything. the camp site at citrus also has power hookups, so just make sure to bring extension cords and you'll be good to go. most of us have brought small electric space heaters to put in the tents at night.

    I found a love for heated blankets. I didn't even need my space heater last time. That blanket kept us toasty warm.

    I'll look into both the heater & blanket & decide on which one. Who sells a good heater or blanket? Being in Miami for 35 years I've never had to buy one.

    I got my heated blanket from Kohls for a really good price plus a nice discount as kohls always does and it is amazing. I honestly won't even pack my heater unless it pack it for the "just in case" something happens with my blanket. I got a dual control queen blanket.

    Where are we planning to camp? Electric hook ups are cool, still need to know about the dog thing though. I really, really don't want to miss another big meet.

    Being able to use a spaceheater will be nice. Can our bed outlets power one?

    Where we camp dogs aren't allowed. I'm sure the bed outlet would handle the heater I bought, probably depends on how big of one you have or buy.

    assuming it's at tillis hills, they have a very strict no dogs policy because of the horses.

    doubt the bed outlets would power a space heater. maybe a blanket. anything that produces heat draws a lot of power, so even if it did work, your battery probably wouldn't start the truck after about an hour of use.

    I think that's what most people do. I personally bring hot dogs and sausages cause they are incredibly easy to cook on a camp fire. But some of these people get pretty creative with their camp dinners.

    My first time or 2 I went Saturday and left Sunday. Last time I made it out there Friday by lunch and had a blast. Friday is usually a lighter group for wheeling and then the big group or groups (we split into 2 groups last time) wheel on Saturday. Most people leave Sunday morning after taking down their camp site, but a few go out to wheel.
