I bought a metal detector a few months ago, but I haven't really been able to go out. Now that spring/summer is almost here, I plan on going. I've only found about 7 cents so far

Raising the thread from the dead like those sweet civil war relics! I found a couple of things the other day. A weird shaped civil war minnie ball and a grapeshot. If u don’t know what these terms r just ask or use google. Very common terms for relic hunting.

I’m thinking this is either a carved bullet or possibly used as a chess piece.

I have one I’ve had for about 15 years. I found a 1785 CT colonial cent, a 1788 MA colonial cent, 1863 3 cent piece, 1895 silver half dollar, some other silver coins and lots of older pennies. It really can be a nice way to spend some time relaxing.

I’ve been fortunate to find a really good amount of various bullets a few buttons and some silver coins. I found a cannon ball fuse that looks like it was never even in the dirt. Thats one of my favorite finds.

That’s a good bunch of coins u have found. I have never found any really old coins, but hopefully one day! Very relaxing hobby for sure.

One of my co workers found a George Washington political button years ago. In rough shape but still a very cool find

That’s really unique. The neatest thing I’ve probably found is either the cannonball fuse or my Confederate Script “I” (Infantry) button. Def been fortunate enough to only have

Very cool stuff. I have found mostly coins and lots of junk. I’ve Recently gotten permission for a piece of property that used to allow transient gypsies to camp alongside a river. That will be this years project
