IMG_0078.jpg Been on this forum for a while so I decided to finally start a build page since i'm about to drop a 1JZGTE in this shit box. I'll be sure to keep the page updated with lots of pictures/info so anyone else who decides to do this swap will have any info they need. I'm tired of searching forums and seeing minimal info/0 replies.

Picked these up last night, they're aftermarket mounts for a 1J. I have no idea what they go on, but I know they're going on a 1998 tacoma lol.

Ended up changing my mind on the engine I wanted to swap in. I've decided to go with a 5.3 Ls, 4l60e and a np241c. I'm new to all this Ls stuff, if anyone has done a 5.3 swap a pm would be greatly appreciated. Mostly my questions are about the wiring/computer part of the swap.

I did when I first moved here, but since then I've went to a new rear end with different gears/locker. Haven't gotten around to setting my front end up yet. Deployments/work/family take a lot of my time.

I dig the viper. Also your ride?

Man your tacoma is really tall. Well, tall for the kind of wheeling and terrain we have here in the southwest :D

About the LS engine swap...there's a bunch of info out there. That's probably the most common engine swap these days.

Started disassembling my taco yesterday. I've decided to remove the cab and the bed for this motor swap. I'll have the frame blasted and coated with chassis saver. I'be decided that I want this truck to look semi nice since I'm doing all this work.
