Well I see why @dakotasyota went with MGM trying to color match. Seems like they've changed PC colors and possibly vendor since one arm has a handful of dings in it.

Skygear painted his black when I saw him at the Overland Expo West. I personally like the color.

Ehh, the few shades difference won't matter after a little bit of dirt gets on everything again.

Why I'm not super pissed about all the dings. I'll have them scraped up in less than a month.

Where did you order them from? I would honestly send a picture to Pat and Nicole from TC. If the product looks poor than I assure you they will want to know about it. You may not be pissed, but brand new should look brand new. They are big on quality despite what some say in the MTBS thread

This shit was wrapped well. Hence my slight anger since I believe it left the shop all dinged up IMO.

Weird on the color change

So I'm assuming you're not gonna run LCA skids?
@AaronArf are you running LCA skids?

It seemed excessive to me for how beefy and boxed they are already...

I can answer for Aaron on this topic, TC doesn't make a skid for their +2 race kits. I asked them about it at the Summit and Pat said that they know how stout they are and that it would pretty much negate the weight savings you gain from going with the Chrome-moly Race Lowers. Mine are scratched and gouged but i'm not worried in the least.

Yeah I'm not worried about it.

Weird though, DSM tried to sell me some for my +2 Kit... :notsure:

They sell them for their standard +2 kit just not the Race Kit. I seem to remember Jason from DSM trying to suggest them to me also and i pointed out that they are only made to fit the standard kit. Go figure.
