Skids on Chromolly LCAs... No way. These fuckers are so strong. Shit even not having a steering stop has barely dinged them after 30k and 2 trucks.

No skids! Wouldn't even skid stock ones, waste of money and clearance.

Great build! Very capable truck. :) Question for you. I see in some of your photos you have a case mounted to your roof. I like the low profile and I am searching for something like that... I searched but could not find a reference to it. Is it a rifle case? Thx.

Panthertaco got it. 42" Plano rifle cases. I got them from Amazon for around $70 each.

Anybody know if these lowers add more caster? Initial eyeball days yes but not sure if the gussets are messing with me or not.

I've never seen anything advertising increased caster for lowers from Total Chaos. A call to Pat though would fill you in for sure.

I don't believe so either. Id have to look for my last alignment sheet. We have very similar setups. I have the heimed uppers though and we had to trim the outer bushing on each side by a hair to get them to fit. The heimed uppers really aren't made with the UCA bolt gusset (aka: shock tower gusset) in mind.

BOTH are good products man. I won't bash DK at all, I've heard nothing but good about them. They didn't exist when I upgraded a few years ago. If you spend any time in MTBS you will see much TC hate.

I used to go in that thread but there were so many posts every time I got on i'd have to go through 3 pages to catch up haha but ill probably end up with DK to match my UCA's.. Both TC and DK have 1" uniballs
