Bunch of the guys over here are running it. No complaints other than dust (don't care about that).

I have the same EBC setup and it works well. I put them to the test on I-81 in PA with 5500 lbs hooked up when some bat shit crazy bastard decided to walk across 4 lanes of traffic in front of me. I highly advise against walking across a busy interstate.

No dick measuring, just know its happening when I cycled everything. Everything comes so very close its amazing it all worked out.

My setup has taken many years and 2 Tacoma's to build.

How is the cleanup on the rotors? I've heard that mud bakes in them quickly

Build thread in sig... 4-link long travel
sure the tc lowers have more range of motion, but you aren't using it vs a ball joint lower. if you have aftermarket uppers, stock lowers, and extended travel coilovers, at full drop, your coilover is the limiting factor. so then you ask, well if I have more travel in the system that I'm not using, why not get a longer shock? reason you can do that is because the shock manufacturers have done their research. if you unbolt the lower shock mount, you will see that the suspension will go down further. and that's great, until you spin the tire and realize that almost immediately after you go beyond the extension of the coilover, your CV starts to bind.

so to sum it up, aftermarket lowers are for strength, and serviceability. while you can see potential for travel increase on paper, when you factor in other pieces to the puzzle, you cannot get usable extra travel from them without harming other components.

This, I can maybe squeeze another .5" out of the shock before the CV binds. Not worth the headache of taking the shock apart.

Nahh fuck air bumps. You'd have 1" of up travel (if that) before they start engaging.

Now not having a secondary hoop is definitely a limitation.
