2years old and nearly 30k miles. Blew a seal, oil was a bit dirty but not too terrible. Stayed with the same valving but will probably pull them apart and stiffen up the compression.

Eh, no. ARB and Independent4x in Ashland both gave me differing answers yesterday as to what the 'bare minimum' required for parts to do the Dakar leaf pack. I don't carry a whole lot outside of my shell and road bikes. ARB said I could probably get away with just doing the leafspring and pulling the 3rd leaf out; Independent told me that ARB was "wrong" and gave me a laundry list of stuff I needed, including shocks being mandatory.

I am essentially trying to get 1.5-2" of lift and more support for towing, in addition to future ability to handle a steel rear bumper and swing-out spare carrier.

Get the leafs, some longer u-bolts or a u-bolt flip, and some OmE nitro charger shocks. Should be great for what you described.

No need to pull anything out of the pack BTW.

Cool, that's what I was wanting to hear..but I guess I gotta commit to shocks. Any place you recommend for labor?

I have no tools, no jackstands, etc. :/

Hit up @loco when you get everything in. I'd give you a hand but won't be around for a while.
