    Here's a fairly accurate tally:

CBI bumper & rock rails: $2368
    Warn M8000 winch: $625
    Bed rack/tailgate steel: $500
    Jerry cans (3): $175
    Powdercoat bedrack/tailgate: $550
    KC lighting: $370
Blue Sea power distribution accessories: $300
GP car audio power wire: $200
    OTRATTW switches: $150
    DC to DC charger: $285
    X2power Group 31 Aux battery: $385
    Tepui RTT: $1900
Old Man EMU suspension lift (w/ UCA's): $2146

Everything else from detailed buy list below: $6373

Total (estimated) cost of complete Tacoma build and gear for the 8/19 MT/ID overlanding trip: $16,327 ( never imagined it would be that much )

It took me 2 years (spreading out the cost & build time) and selling my 2015 Subaru STI & my Suzuki GSXR track bike (avatar) to afford it all.

I'm not rich and that's a lot of money, but you only live once, it was worth every penny.

You can't take any of it with you when you go, so might as well enjoy it while you can.

I'll be running my current Tacoma rig set-up for the 2020 season, then for the 2021 season I'll be doing a complete rebuild.

Here's a preview of what is to come for the 2021 overlanding season:

From scratch build of a direct bolt on bed canopy (all aluminum). I'll most likely start the build in August 2020 with completion by early summer 2021.

Here's a photo shopped mock up:

Two new pieces of equipment I will need to acquire will be a 220V mig welder and a cold saw. Should be fun, I can't wait, but it'll be another year before I start.

In the meantime I will be making some changes to my current rig before the 2020 season. Nothing major just redo my shower/hot water setup externally mounted, externally mounted 5lb propane bottles, exterior gear storage on my roof rack, additional coats of Duratex on the roof rack, 0.5" rear lift blocks, etc.

This thread will probably be quiet for the next few months but I'll be back.

Been almost 2 years since I posted any updates. As you can see from post #304 I had big plans for the Tacoma so I could continue spending time with adventures in Montana and Idaho.

I said to myself, "Instead, why not focus my efforts in moving there to make those adventures a new lifestyle."

It's been a long process but almost 2 years from the date I last posted, as of today, I am officially a Kalispell MT resident. I start my new job on Monday.

More adventures with the Tacoma to follow.

***Was able to get this built summer of 21 before I left for the Kalispell move. Everything you see was design and fabricated by me, minus the hot water heater. Yes, that's a $20 tarp, it worked our perfect for the amount of material needed. ***
