Tokico!!!! That's it. Notice it doesn't say "Diff. Locks" like Jason's does. Good find

Yep, apparently the Tokico are blue too, the guy at the dealership said they were Bilsteins, but neither of us looked... LOL

Apparently every year they changed what the packages included... I don't think I've seen 2 years that included the same things in SR5 or TRD yet... LOL

Yeah thats what I said earlier. That there are too many year variations when its comes to SR5, TRD, Limited, etc.
I know some limited came with leather interiors too, but not all.

x2 and most of the other models (camry/4runner/corolla/etc) had gold badges on the limited package. I've never seen a gold badged Tacoma.

We mentioned the Tokicos on Page 2. Tokico are all baby blue in color, Bilsteins are baby blue and yellow. Toyota used both brands.

Well thanks, at least now I know he was completely honest I wondered why he would've lied about that. Not that it means anything the only TRD item I want is the locker.

I guess the suspension is beefed up a little and the bigger wheels/tires... :) Makes it look a little "tougher"... :)

    Wrong.

For more reference, here's (most of) my Monroney. 1999 Pre, 2.7 auto, SR5, TRD.

My favorite part is the mpg. My dad's 5600 lb, super crew, turbo F150 gets the same mpg (actually better on the highway). Both of our trucks can run in the 14s. Of course his is 14s in the quarter mile, mine is 14s 0-60.

Suspension is "beefed up" I guess. But really its the same rear leafs, bilstiens all around and the coils. Coils have the top three rungs closer together, which is why you cant use a spacer lift on the TRD package because that preloads the coils. Not that I would use a spacer lift but it is a down fall to a cheap lift. Elocker all the way. Thats the only thing I worried about when I looked at the TRD. As soon as it got home the billies and stickers went in the trash anyways. I just paid fior the Elocker.

My Question is the SR5 only in a manual trans or does that not have s#@t to do with it. I had heard that they only came in manual

Looks like the trend is if you have a 4 cylinder auto pre-runner TRD it probably didnt come with the locker. Man its really confusing to find out what years had what TRD package options. I thought that the locker was the only way to make sure you had a TRD. But, as mentioned by a few guys you can have a TRD without a locker. Can you check by a digit in the Tacoma VIN to see if it did come with the TRD package, like Camaro did with the Z28s?

99% of 4cyl TRDs dont have a locker. 4x4 or PreRunner, manual or automatic. Ive only seen picture evidence of one 4cyl manual TRD with an elocker.
TRD cant be checked by VIN, unfortunately.

They are few and far between. The vast majority came on 6cyl trucks
