Hi all. Been a very long time since I have been here. Was cleaning the house the other day and found my mailer card for the frame lawsuit. Have there been any developments with this? Thanks

I know they're still doing replacements. Not sure if there's a window of time for doing it though. My 2012 isn't rotting yet - rusting, but not rotting.

Haven't seen any other lawsuits other than the frame

I heard it was extended up to 12 years from when the truck was purchased new.

There were appeals filed after the final judgement on May 21 last. I can find no information as to the disposition of the appeals.

However Toyota has apparently thrown in the towel as they initiated a Customer Satisfaction Campaign/Warranty Enhancement Program (CSC ZH6) on June 17. In the letter to dealers (the above link) they state that notices to owners will begin to be sent out in August 2017, and be "mailed over several months" (there are 887,000 2005 to 2010 owners to be contacted). I have not received one as yet.

There have been reports here and elsewhere that some have been approved for frame replacement under this program, it seems as though they might be beginning in the "rust belt" states.

I think he just hides his true love for the Tacoma by acting out. I mean, why else would he hang out on a forum dedicated to a vehicle that he hates? Because FANBOY!!!

Because I am stupid. I based my buying on the older Toyotas I had thinking Tacomas had that same quality. Wow, was I wrong! Nothing I say can't be found posted numerous times on this site, by other posters. So are the bitching about it too?? Just look at the first page there will be a problem post. Are they bitching too? I am just honest, you don't get what you pay for with these trucks anymore. It's that simple.

Most of us have already received our checks and bought new trucks. I think some even got in on the group buy for significant savings.

I got just what I paid for, mostly because I bought one-owner used in near new condition letting that fellow deal with the "shake-down cruise" and various recalls, TSBs, and "campaigns". Before I bought the dealer did the headlights, rear springs, and driveshafts--and put new tires on it. Cars do not rust here so that is not and will not be an issue.

My wife and I have not bought a new car in nearly 30 years, and never will again. I have put 6k miles on since I got in in October with zero, zilch, nada problems; many buyers of new Tacoma's haven't gone that far without major issues...

That's the PITA part about free speech.

I may disagree with what he says, but I would defend to the death his right to say it...

Thanks for the info. This is the first legitimate update I have seen since receiving my mailer.
