Sadly they will. Check through their inventory. They have about 4 trucks similar to this for sale. There is a 4 Wheel Parts down the road from them and lets just say this dealership keeps them busy. Spacer lift, light bar, wheel & tire package and then list them for 45-50k.

The wheels on the 3rd gen are actually Mickey Thompson classic II wheels. Had them on my FJ80. Actually a really nice wheel.

If I ever change out my Sport wheels it will be for M/T classic IIIs. Only problem is that negative offset since by law I cant have the tires stick out of the fenders. Oh well.

This is insane to me. you could buy an O/R and install the mods for much less.

Just saw this on Tacoma_Valley’s Instagram story.

It’s perfect. I need this build.

Not a city boy who makes $159k a year in an office job his rich daddy got for him. He just sees it, signs the papers, and drives away. That's the whole reason trucks now cost $40000-$110000 and people at Applebee's still get paid $5.25 plus tips.

Late to the post. But that is what I aim to accomplish with my 18'. I'll attach some phots including the closest match rims I could find to match some of the photos I could find. Not quite as detailed as some of the dealer trucks, but this cost me $200.00 total for the decals.

Looking to do something similar on my ‘21 Voodoo Blue. Retro build with AR62s. You have any advice? One of the big tire sites said AR62s wouldn’t fit on my Tacoma, not sure if I’m missing something or if those sites are just plain wrong sometimes.

American Racing's own website said these rims would not fit my '18. I belive it was because of the negative offset. On the second gens the hubs are more narrow and so the calipers would rub the inside of the rim. I have about 1/4" of space before that would happen. Totally stock btw. 6x1.39 I belive was the bolt pattern *[EDIT* I WAS WRONG IT IS 6X5.5"]* and I needed 108mm outer and 106.125mm inner hub centric rings for mine to fit. Along with new acorn lugs. I had my rings custom made out of aluminium because the plastic ones were shitty, and 106.125mm is not a standard size. And yes, I know 106mm would have worked just fine, but I did the math and it came out to 106.1254378mm and they let you go to the thousandths so I did. Partly OCD partly because it fits that much better. I went through US Wheel adapters. Great customer service and I got my order within 10 days.... pre corona freakout though. Roughly $100.00 for the set of 4 after tax. Haven't had any trouble with them, so worth the money to me. I'll post a picture of the ones I got. I went through Amazon because it saved me $60 a rim vs American Racing directly. Even Amazon said they won't fit. Mine did. Let me know if you need any more info. I can take pictures of wheel fitment too if you want before you pull the trigger. No gaurentee these fit your '21. The '18-'21 should be the same.... but who knows. *[SECCOND EDIT* THE CENTER CAPS FOR THE AMERICAN RACING RIMS DO NOT FIT, JUST FYI]*

I’ve seen a few of these retro schemes on 3rd gens in the photo sections here at Tacoma World. They look great.

Wow, thanks for the detailed reply! That is cool you found a way to make them work, but a huge bummer on the center caps.

Edit: were there any other retro wheels you looked into before you settled with these? I know there are other options too. I’ve got a couple months to think about it as I wait for my retro graphics to be done up.

    Not really,
I'm not super picky so I got over the hub caps quickly. That being said I am looking for ones that connect from the outside. Kinda like the Camry has but long like the originals. So it would look like the same thing, but instead of being held in place by going through the back of the rim to the front they would pressure snap fit from the front. So maybe like some baffled cuts and a thick spring tensioner on the inside of the hub cap? I know VW and Toyota (probably more) use the 16.4MM plastic center caps that use this design. Obviously they are plastic and flush mount so maybe this isn't possible. If anyone knows of where I can find some I'd be game to try them out.
