I used two fused 10 gauge wires straight from the positive battery terminal for each seat constant power and used add-a-taps in the unused sunroof circuit and the unused seat heater circuit in the fuse box under the dash for switched power. For illumination I tapped into my stereo harness that I made when I wired up my audio system. This left all my factory wiring untouched and keeps anything from being overloaded. If you aren’t adding anything else, you can always tap into any of your factory illumination wires nearby. I just like to leave my factory wiring alone if at all possible.

The set I got is this, they crank on high through the clazzios. Even on low they get toasty.

Has anyone gotten the perforated leather? The leather seats I had in my last few vehicles didn’t breath well at all, I’m just wondering if these would make me sweat like crazy like normal leather or not on a hot day.

Mine is the perf. It’s just the center section. It hasn’t gotten hot here yet but so far they are very comfortable.

Lol. No worries Tom, never hurts to put the info in the thread so anyone else can access the info. That’s how I figured it all out.

I appreciate it brother! Clazzio said my covers should be here in about two weeks. So I think I’m going to order the kit and pre wire the heated seats like you did.

I recommend it so you break the job up into two smaller projects. When you see your covers, you’ll want them in the truck right now, not messing with wiring. I tested my heaters before installing covers too so I didn’t do a bunch of work to find something not working properly and have to take anything apart.

That’s really good advice, I appreciate it. Yeah my first big job is to take apart the dash to replace the lower switch panel with Meso’s so I have more switch slots. So that in itself and wiring the heat will be a big job. I just hope I can do it myself lol. I may have to ask one of my buddies. Mainly for the wiring part.

But the good news is that since the blk/blk is a stock item, there is most likely a shipment already on its way and you shouldn't have to wait 12 weeks. I just ordered my custom set Monday, so they should get here during the hottest part of the year for install :annoyed::annoyed:

We pre order all the black covers for the Tacos- We are currently pre-selling black leather kits for these and I have a few more spots available for covers that we're expecting to receive mid-May. So just shy of a month wait.

Be sure to do it in a shady spot if you can! I've installed a handful of leather kits in the hot sun... Pretty easy to workup a sweat!

I ordered a black/black set 3/36 and CS emailed me about a 1 month wait at the time I ordered which I'm still okay with. Does that still stand or will my covers be in the mid-May shipment?

That's only if they get selected for an intensive exam where they physically need to unload the containers and a CBP officer has to sign off on it. Can take 1-2 weeks min. Not every container gets selected unless the importer has done something illegal in the past - then it's almost a guarantee all of them will be held up.

Transit across the pacific is ~14-18 days from China to the west coast. Then another 3-4 days to discharge off the vessel...then another 3-4 days to get the container pulled out of the port. This isn't Amazon and containerized freight isn't exactly a quick moving process.

I am aware, I've ordered from them before, but I'm sure this will help someone. Could be worse, I've ordered parts for my S2000 in the past that took as long as 6-8mo to receive.
