it look nice, but it will not work in California. Summer is just too hot for leather.

Never had clazzio, but have had OEM leather in all cars here in CA since 1997, and never had any issues.

You must live in the interior valley. Love my Clazzio's to date and have had them installed for 12 months.

The bolsters are not leather, correct? It looks like only the center is full leather. It doesn't surprise me that vinyl bolsters would crack after so long.

I believe you're correct. "The bolsters are not leather"

The bolsters are only leather on the Clazzio's if you bought their nappa package. FYI. Otherwise it's pvc

Damn, I have a set of marine grade vinyl seat covers from PRP on the way. I sure hope they don't end up looking like those vinyl bolsters.

It seems you are in an unfortunate minority. Ive combed this thread in the past and found people that had these covers for 5 or more years and didn't maintain them with any kind of conditioner and they still look like the day they installed them. Of course there are many different factors that play into it, climate and humidity, sun exposure, etc. but thats the beautiful thing about seat covers compared to reupholstered leather like katskin, they absorbed all that punishment all the while keeping your seats underneath unscathed and you can just replace them with new covers a couple times over for the same price as katskinz. to each his own though, thanks for sharing your experience.

I installed Clazzio Nappa Leather HEATED (black, black, black) today. 50F overcast day.

The entire install took me about 7 hours give or take. Adding the heated element is time consuming, getting the wiring installed takes a lot of time. I'm also very very particular and I did this install without cutting or splicing a single wire in the truck - its entirely plug n play. I took my time to do it correctly.

I will say it is a son of a beach to install these covers. Especially the headrests and even getting the material around the head rest inserts is difficult. I also was not able to get the velcro pull throughs on the front seats to even begin to get close to the backs of the seat. This is ridiculous on Clazzio's part. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? - pro tip : dont fold the factory flap up and try to make it fit under the covers, unzip the factory covers and fold it up into the back of the seat!!! this got me an inch closer to getting the Clazzio cover velcro parts to meet but its no dice... they screwed up. There's no way in hell the lower flaps will ever reach that far and velcro. Youll know what im talking about when you have your hands on these. The covers fit so tight i dont think it matters anyway.

I didnt have time today to finish fit the covers so i wont post anymore pictures, it doesnt do the covers justice. They're still wrinkled and tight and cold. They came tighly packed in a fancy box! they need some massaging and heat to iron out the ruffles - im happy with the quality for sure.

NAPPA!!!! i didnt see many people buy the more expensive covers. I'll say this, the PVC fake leather has a much different texture and its GRABBY. The real leather is much smoother and slick. Wife an I both agree we're happier having spent the $ to have the full face be the same texture. Its VERY noticeable. IMO

For the rear seat install on the DC did you slide the covers over the plastic backing or did you removing the plastic and then put cover and an reinstall the plastic back? I would like to retain the backing for durability etc

Not to pick anyone's side here or anything but Clazzio does advertise as a full set or individual replacement parts. Since you technically ordered a replacement part then, I would assume this is why you didn't receive any instructions or tools because it would have all come in the initial order. Also, as they sell these across multiple auto makers, they don't advertise anywhere that these colors are exact matches to stock colors, nor do they imply mixing and matching their products with stock leather will match. I probably would have just bought the full set to avoid any headaches.

FWIW, I wish I would have removed the plastic and then reinstalled over the Clazzio's. On my to do list. I know others have done it. You may need to cut some small slits in the covers to snap the plastic back on over the covers.

Does anybody have a recent photo of a black/blue or gray/blue covers? I'd like to make sure I am getting the correct hue I'm looking for.

Sweet! Gives me some motivation. Wish I'd done it initially. Post some pics if you're up to it. I don't think I've seen any pics of it done yet.

If you are willing to browse thru this post, there was a member that posted step by step instructions on how to do it. I was going to do it but too lazy by the time I already spent hours working on the front seats :) It looks really slick though.
