The covers are great so far. Its the installation that was no fun. If a pro wanted $50 to install, I would have gladly pay it

I never regret doing any work to my cars no matter how painful. Any dollar I can keep is a well deserved dollar and a dollar I enjoy spending on me. I ain't working overtime to pay someone else to do something I can do for free. That helped me afford to raise 3 kids on 1 income. I have done work on LT1 Z cars and Subaru WRX's that brought tears to my eyes and arms full of battle scars. Trust me a day of finger cramps installing these covers is NOTHING. I have a good car story with each scar.20160812_173504.jpg

Good story. So if you get personal enjoyment and want to save a few bucks and take a little pain, then feel free to install it yourself. I'd spend the $50 bucks, pick it in a few hours and head out to the next event without breaking a sweat.

$50 seems very cheap to have them installed. If there was a pro here would do it for that I would go for it. No professional shops around here would touch it for $50 unless it was a 20 to 30 minute job.

Yep, I was thinking more along the lines of 150 - 200 for the whole interior. I had katskins installed in my miata (2 seats easily removed) and it was 150 per seat.

I am fairly confident my normal upholsterer who works out of his house would do it for less than $100. The youtube video guy was a pro and he did it under 30 mins. I threw out a guess of $50.

You can hardly get your grass cut for $50. And I never said personal enjoyment. If I could have had mine installed for $50 I would have done so. I am frugal but not dumb.

I pay $30/mo for my grass and its a decent sized lawn (cut 2x a month). I wasn't necessarily referring to all your reasons for a self install either. As I mentioned in my previous post, I guessed $50. I would have gladly paid up to $100.

    ok, whatever....

For any potential buyers they're simple enough for DIYer without any additional tools or take them to a professional installer.

Bottom line they're a good upgrade to the stock interior.

If mine will hurry up and come in I shouldn't have to worry about warming them up before installing. Because here in Tennessee it's hotter than the under side of the Devils nut sack. I'm ready for fall.

Wow... a woman did it? All by herself? Was that between trips to the kitchen to make sure her man was still happy?

    Sigh

Sorry for the ugly feet but I am handicapped from 5 foot surgeries [ 3 right and 2 left]. Plate, pin, 7 screws, shortened bones, nerve damage, re-attached tendon,etc.,etc. Before the surgeries I lived from daylight to midnight is steel toe boots. Now wearing socks and shoes is challenging. Working 4 days a week is challenging. Much more challenging than the simple 2 hour Clazzio installation. Don't pay for the install. It is just too easy to do yourself.

There's only just over 1000 posts in this whole thread. Might need to be more specific.
