I like them. The fit is good. I hope they hold up well. I liked my Clazzios on both my third gens, but couldn’t see spending twice as much.

My preference for cover seats is Black, looks clean but might be a bit too hot in the summer heat of the South. I like the Black/Gray, I just hope they do not look cheap.
What color did you go with?

Anyone been successful putting seat covers on a hybrid? Not sure how that would go in the rear since the seats don’t raise up?

IMG_1610.jpg IMG_1611.jpg Decided to go with the EKR due to some of the reviews here and the price point. They were an absolute pain to put on, but overall seem like fairly good quality minus a few gripes.

Couldn’t get them absolutely perfect in every area, mostly by the corners of the bottom seat part where it meets the backrest and around the seatbelt buckle.

Biggest gripe is that they “float” off the seat, I’m just hoping they’ll break in eventually. Also, the clips in the back for when you flip the rear seats up to clip them in place are bad enough as it is, but the holes don’t properly tuck under the clip part on the seat, so they block you from clipping them. Either way, these are really the only negatives. Quality is good for the price!

I would say the EKR look as nice as my Clazios. I don't think any of your gripes about the EKRs would have went away by selecting the Clazios. The black Clazio does match the black Tacoma interior perfectly.

I installed my fronts by removing the seats from the cab and I still couldn't get them perfect. Now that they've been stretching for nearly a year, I think I'll pull them out go at it again. My rears were close enough to perfect that I probably won't make any adjustments.

I've had several people comment on how nice the "leather" and the seats are in general only to be surprised when I tell them they are a cheap set of PVC seat covers.

My dog has short white hair and vacuuming it out cloth seats is very difficult. Vacuuming out of the neoprene covers in my 2nd gen was nearly impossible. Vacuuming out off the PVC is a breeze.

That’s good to know. Does the material rest against the seat a bit more than it did when it was first put on? I almost feel as if it’s starting to stretch already in the heat of the car. I might take your advice and remove the seats if I do it again.

You can make that go away in the front by pulling the base fabric tighter and tighter over time. In my case, the wires for the heating element are in the way and there's not adequate slack to pull towards one of the slits. It was a struggle, but I got it taut. In the back, unlike my 2nd gen rear seat, there's a pronounced ridge in the rear of the base creating a bit of a shallow canyon. the tighter you pull it, the more there's going to be a mini trampoline. After further inspection, my rear is as good as it's going to get.

The goal for me was to cover the light gray cloth and keep it from getting soiled and dog hair from weaving into the fabric. It accomplishes that goal while looking like factory leather to the casual observer.

    Have fun.

I just installed EKR seat covers from Amazon. The install was a pain, but I'm impressed with the overall finish.

I have installed Clazzio covers in my last two trucks and love them. Just received the covers for my new Tacoma. I have always used te leather. A pain to install but well worth it. They look like OEM leather seats. I have never used the EKR covers but from pictures it looks like they have perimeter piping instead of stitching. Not a big fan of piping. The Clazzio covers have stitching like OEM leather.

EKR was around $250, Clazzio is around $400-600 if you go for PVC or leather, or even more for the better materials. I can’t speak for Clazzio but EKR was just a pain in the butt to get “perfect” for me because there are multiple straps you need to feed through, and the nature of lining everything up to where it is tight is very difficult and easier said than done when you have so many tiny spaces and such a small overall space to work with in the cab…some things you need to pull kind of violently/hard and it’s just tough. Even after wrenching on stuff I have very small spaces by the corner of the seat that aren’t covered, they’re really hard to notice, but I know they exist…lol

Overall I like the material and they look pretty decent for $250. I think if they last even a couple of years, it’s definitely worth the price for me.
