Clazzios scuffed or gouged from wallet

I have had my Clazzio seat covers on for about a year. The passenger side looks new but that side seldom gets used. The drivers side as a couple deep scuffs or gouges right under where my ass sits. I believe it's from my wallet, maybe as I slide in and out. I know there are a lot of Clazzios out there in the Tacoma World, has anyone else seen this?

 

The clip on my knife scratched the leather seats of a previous vehicle. Right pocket, left side of the seat. Do you carry a knife with a clip on it?

Black shoe polish "fixed" the situation... somewhat.

My Clazzios are 6 months old, and look new.

 

Nope. I have had mine for a year and look like the day they were installed. I dont carry a wallet in my back pocket - thats what the center console is for at least for me anyway.

 

What kind of wallet do you have? I have one of those shitty ridge wallets. Damn thing tore a hole in my pants from sliding off a rock

 

If I carry my wallet it is usually in my side cargo pants pocket or in my upper jean jacket pocket. Wallets are bad for your @ss and back, lol

 

love clazzios one of my favorite purchases. I screwed up on a back panel on my drivers seat, had blue inserts and my black leather belt dyed the blue when I sweat.
You can order individual sections from clazzio to replace what got damage. Maybe call them, they have A-1 customer service, tell them your situation they may have you send in the bad section to see if it was a problem with the material.

 

Mine still look great. Over a year old... Only my driver's seat gets used so someday I'll just buy a new drivers side cover. It's nice that Clazzio sells just singles if you want..

 

Yes. Happens on leather too, it's as you slide in and out of the seat it will deteriorate the material.

Try depositing all that cash you carry around in your back pocket. Just kidding. I've had my Clazzio's for about three months now with no issues. I carry my wallet and keys in my front pockets.

I went nuts looking for a wallet and had the ridge and a bunch of those other ones out there. Finally found the perfect one with slimfold.

 

How do Clazzios hold up to four legged friends? My dog isn't a truck bed dog, especially on long trips. He rides with me inside the car/truck and is either in the passenger seat or in the back depending on how many others are with me. I have the stock fabric seats now, but would love to get some Clazzios but I worry that his nails will destroy them.

 

you're probably better off just getting one of those seat cover things for dogs.

Probably not your wallet but the brass rivets in the corners of pockets doing it. Ever see odd vertical scratches up the side of cars? Thats from leaning against a car with jeans with those style rivets 99% of the time.
