Yup, my plans for a washing were a wash this weekend as well. Got rained on just enough Sat. and Sun. to keep me from making my truck look shiny again. Oh and hey look at the forcast for the rest of the week Tues.:rain:Wed.:rain:Thurs.:rain:Fri.:rain:Sat.:rain:.

I know... Stinks... If I only had a LSD rear end, I would go "play in the mud".

Get yourself a good winch, then you wont need limited slip, or 4 wheel drive, or even tires with tread on them for that matter, you can just get stuck constantly and pull yourself out :)

Why wash it if its going to get dirty again. Let the rain wash it off right.

A Roo Bar comes to mind. I also protected the tail lamps. It is a farm and you back over stuff; Willows mostly. All of the factory options are on it. The dealership owner bought it for himself. He put a topper on it and pricey tyres. The Power Wagon does the heavy lifting.
I have never cleaned the `06 and do not intend to. It rains a lot.

I'm so pissed. Here in greenville we had a 3 week drought. I hate washing and detailing and my free time is more valuble than money to me, so i was willing to pay someone to do a full detail. I shell out the cash for the works, they clean the engine, they wax the outside, shampoo the inside, treat the leather and everything. They cleaned places i never would have to thought to even look at. When i picked it up it looked as good as the day i got it from the lot. On the way home from picking it up the bottom fell out of the sky and i couldn't even see through the sheets of rain. needless to say i was and am still pissed. Oh well, at least it's still waxed....

My truck is a daily driver, ATV, recreational vehicle and work truck all in one pretty red package. As beautiful as she is, I don't clean her as much as I would like. Maybe every month and a half. After such follies as wife, children, and work, there isn't much time or energy to spare.

It doesn't help that it is a TRD Offroad. I feel compelled to cover every possible surface of that truck with mud!

I got 1200 miles on my truck. I haven't washed it yet, but I will soon. Anyway, it'll last a while I guess. It's tough when you live rural and on a half mile of dirt and gravel. That's why I go Silver Mica :D

The silver is a great color for the illusion of clean. I had a Tercel that was silver, I really liked the color.

I shook out the driver side floor mat today. Decided that was enough for one day, and went inside to get a beer.:)

My first post. What color stays "cleanest?" Mine's Speedway blue and I've had it 5 weeks. So far so good; it looks clean and shiney (but it's not been off road yet).

Winter's coming though, and this area uses a lot of salt (seems like a 1 to 1 ratio: inches of snow = inches and salt). How often should we wash underneath during the winter?

I got some mud on the skid plates. I hosed that.
Otherwise, I made a place in the barn for the Taco complete with a stop.
It seems to live out of doors.
