oohhh haha yea that would definitely do it! I didn’t even notice that was a Tacoma until after I bought mine.

 

BTTF Truck wasn't a Tacoma. Toyota pickup SR5 EFI. Tacoma came out in 1995 I think. I plan to remove bedside stickers and add off road tires including black wheels.

 

Ah ok, I just remembered the SR5 part and assumed it was a Tacoma. And nice! That will look great on your truck

It’s hard to tell but this photo was taken outside at about 11pm the other night.

 

Well I drove through the first heavy rain storm since I got the ARE shell yesterday and it leaks, kind of a lot. There was more water in the bed than when I drove through the same amount of rain with the Bakflip.

I called the dealer this morning and they said they would take a look at it and try to seal it up, so hopefully they can work some magic.

 

There are holes in bed corners where the front wall is bit taller than the besides.

I had that problem on mine years ago but it is solved. They sealed it up.

 

Ooohh ok got it. Like closest to the cab of the truck? Or near the tailgate? Or both.

 

Near cab. The dealer will use water hose to find leaks.

 

Ok cool, thanks! That makes me much less worried if it’s a common thing.

 

Yup many topper users have this problem since 2016.

 

You would think they would have sealed it right the first time lol

 

LOL. Some don't care if they use truck for water sports then the leaks do not bother them. They would have it fixed if they want to keep stuff dry.

 

That’s a good point, I never asked them to seal it up completely.

 

Mine is sealed completely.

 

Hopefully mine will be too once they finish.

The Bakflip was so good at keeping the bed dry, I always felt like it was worth the money.

 

The cap has been resealed by the dealer so we’ll see how it does next time in rains

Thanks! I’ll post an update whenever I have the chance to test it out in a rain storm. They did say they added more sealant.
