That's what I figured since I couldn't tell in the photos. At first I thought they could be vent since there are vent behind that wall. If you cover that up, it would be bad.

Picture this, If you close your door while vents are sealed, the windows will be shattered or seal broke off.

If you roll windows down, it would be okay.

There are lot of questions about cover up the vents on here years ago. The OPs were told not good idea.

Ah gotcha, yeah that makes sense. The rear boards are pretty breathable because of all the holes, so I assume they considered that lol

@Road_Warrior yes very functional. I was able to keep all the stuff I wanted to keep dry and not falling over really easily.

Yeah I’m really excited to get to using it not that hopefully the hard part is over lol. I’m very impressed by the increase in space it provides. Those seats really took up a lot of room.

Public Service Announcement for anyone considering doing a seat delete…It increases road noise in the cabin quite a bit. I definitely recommend adding sound deadening material. A lot of it.

It’s wild how much sound those back seats absorbed.

    Yep. Indeed.

You need help with the deadening install?

I appreciate the offer but the TW member I purchased the seat delete from actually had already sound deadened it so it saved me a lot of work because it’s already done haha

That's what I figured. The seats act like acoustic foam which they have foam inside..

How much it cost to sound deadening in cab? Just curious.

What about the back wall of the cab???

All depends on what brand you go with. Could be anywhere from $50 to around $250

Honestly, it's all the same stuff. Very little difference. Not enough to warrant huge price increases.

I used Noico brand. Had a buddy get dynamat. Could not tell the difference at all.

lol I didn’t bother doing the back wall itself because the back of that Goose Gear board is totally covered in killmat. I think that sentence made sense

I’m going to be putting a thin piece of wood down so the dogs don’t get their paws stuck in the latches/holes on the bottom boards, so I will probably cover the bottom of that board with killmat as well. Because why not, right?

Got the gym floor mats measured, cut and installed so now it’s dog ready:

I also found a couple milk crates and secured them to the back wall for day-to-day use like grocery store duty, etc. Easy storage solution to take out when it’s time for a trip.

    That looks great.

I have milk crates as well. I use them for kayak stuff if I go out for kayaking.

Well true to the utilitarian theme of my thread, a few hours after I got the backseat area done the back and bed of the truck are already full with stuff that’s going to Goodwill tomorrow. The Goose Gear set up allowed me to put a ton of stuff in the backseat that wouldn’t have fit with the seats still there. Already happy with the benefits.
