Clean, Purpose-Built 3rd Gen SR5

Free range cattle areas make me a little nervous at night, especially since so many are all black or brown. Hell, sometimes they make me nervous during the day too. In some areas if you kill free range cattle you have to pay the farmer the cost of the cattle, the cost of the percentage of feed they have already purchased for it, and the cost of whatever profit they lost if they would have sold it. I mean I get it, that affects their business, but if the damned thing is standing in the middle of a 55mph+ highway...

 

Off topic, slightly but when we were in Fl, going from Orlando to Cape Canaveral we learned there were free range swamp cows.

Ugh yeah I’m sure my truck would have been totaled and me and the wife probably would have been dead or seriously injured. Last thing I would want is to be dead and then also have to pay someone for their exploded cow lol

Well I learn something new everyday! lol

 

We were really surprised seeing them in the swamplands too!

 

I definitely thought I responded to this lol. Yeah I would assume crocodiles and stuff but never cows.

 

I was in Virgin Islands for construction job. On my lunch break, I went inside the meat company for a tour... I wanted to see how they work with the cows... They let me use the gun and the cows walked up in the line to me... I held the gun onto it's head... BANG. Then they put it up on the line hook for next step.

Then I moved back to mainlands before the hurricane hit the islands... a guy on AOL called me 'Cow Killer' lol

 

Well I think I have found the perfect mix of form & function….

 

I had 33 once back in ‘18. It rarely comes up depending how you drive and how you take care of.

 

I finally got around to a mod that I’ve been day dreaming about doing ever since I got the Goose Gear rear seat delete…Sound deadening the rear wall of the cab. Here are some pics:

Removed the goose gear rear wall and cleaned up the bare metal rear wall of the cab:



Kilmat went on first…



Then the Siless foam pads on top of the Kilmat once I had Kilmat covering the wall:

All put back together and ready for the dogs again:

I also used one of those roller tools to flatten out the panels after I put them on the wall of the cab. A hair dyer was critical as well since it was about 35 degrees out while I worked on the project.

I got the mods delivered but plan to have them put on soon. I’ll post pics as soon as installation complete.

when I did my delete, I put mat on the truck wall and on the back side of the board and it was still really loud. I found 90% of my noise was from the vents, so I took an old memory foam mattress topper I had lying around squished it between the board and the truck wall. Now it's damn near as quiet as with the rear seats.
