I’m planning on going to AOAA in October and hopefully a trip or two this summer somewhere. Maybe Green Ridge or somewhere out there?

I did part of flagpole a few years back but I had my dogs with me and wound up having to turn around before I could do the whole trail . Definitely a cool area!

Sick build. I chose a SR5 for most of the same reasons as you did. Didn’t see if you got a CMC to fit the 285s? What notch did you decide on the Bilsteins upfront?

Thanks man! I have not done a CMC. Yet. It’s fine with the 285’s, I only rub a tiny bit at quarter turn in reverse on the front driver’s side tire. So I just ignore it because that happens like once a month.

I plan on getting 33x12’s next. I think that’s like 305/70/16? When I move up to that tire size, I’m gonna have a CMC done.

As for the Bilstein’s, I originally had them on the top notch but then the front of the truck was higher than the rear so I dropped it down to the 4th notch. I’ve had it there for a couple years now and it’s perfect.

Awesome. I have the black rhino stadiums as well in -10 and bronze and I was worried about how much rub I was going to get. I am on the same clip setting for my front.

Oh nice, I love the Stadiums. They’re such good looking wheels and well made too.

Yeah you shouldn’t have any issue at all. I’ve done a good amount of off roading with this current setup (drove from MD to Washington State also) and haven’t had any problems with rubbing.

Did you have to do any specific adjustments to your alignment? Also, noticed we don't have many choices for C rated in 285's with 16" rims. Found the Toyo Open Country C/T as an option as I don't know if I want to go E rated...most likely will have to though once I grab some 285's. Was also looking at the Accutune UCA as it is known to fit 285's without a body mount chop!

Sweet ass truck dude, I'll PM ya a pic of my build and you've inspired some options. Bought bed sitffereners last night after reading your post. I found a small crack in my D Pillar. But didn't know about that issue until finding your thread.

You can just post the pics here in my thread!! I love seeing what other people have done.

When I switched to the 285’s, my guy did do an alignment so the tires are a bit farther forward in the wheel well.

Crack in door pillar? D Pillar is on the door. Not in bed. You meant the pillar wrap that shows tear (crack)? If that is in the case, then wrap can be replaced. Bed stiffeners do not do anything with the door pillars. Bed stiffeners are for bedsides which you carry something heavy on your shell (or heavy shell for that matter) that can cause the bedsides to flex out without the stiffeners. Got a picture of that crack you mentioned?

If you are not carry the shell, then stiffeners aren't needed. If you want them installed, that's fine but it won't help with those d pillars, though. You probably went off roading so hard that caused the d pillar to crack or a sharp object cut the wrap on d pillar. Black trucks like mine, do not have black wraps on the pillars. Only other colors such as white, inferno, etc.

whatever this is. It’s got a small crack.

DCLB SR5 practical working build - Came factory with blacked out logos. 5100s, ICON RXT rear option 2, KDMax, and a bunch of other little mods. It’s basically my work truck. I plan on keeping the same sort of outlook on my truck. Build for purpose and look cool. Not to be cool.

Your post was one of the posts that helped me decide on the Stadiums when I was researching a -10 offset 16 inch rim. I’m on the fence of going 285s, but I feel like I have to try them at least once with this truck and lift.

Man that’s an awesome looking truck! I love the white with bronze wheels. We have alot of the same exact mods too lol

Yeah I tried the 285 g003’s and those absolutely crushed my gas mileage. So I panicked and returned them and was scared to try 285’s again. I finally got these Geolandar AT4’s in 285 and my gas mileage is the same (and sometimes better) then when I was running the 265/75/16 Razr mud terrains.

So as long as you stick with a light-ish all terrain tire, I highly doubt your trucks MPGs or drivability would be affected much at all. Mine drives better now than it did with the smaller mud tires.

Oh.. The stiffeners would help. You can get them done before crack gets worse.

I have the Cali raised bed stiffeners. They’ve been good to me and I love all the extra tie down points they provide.

If the truck was black with bronze wheels, then that would mean it's smokey and the bandit. heh..
