This was a solid recommendation. Ran my antenna wire into the cab this weekend using the same grommet around the drain hose. Much easier than cutting and soldering on a new PL-259.

Awesome! Tell us how you installed it, if you don't mind. Drilling, wires, antenna, etc...

Here's my setup. Both private band radios. Motorola is VHF.

How's that siren? Do you like it, was it pricey, etc.? And is that a light controller also? I'm shopping around for lights / controller as well as siren, and have just been curious.

Yes it is good quality. Along with you get what you pay for. For occasional calls it is reliable overkill.

Can someone help me find a link on the best route for the coax to exit to the rear on a third gen?

44E0DE65-FE52-4A15-8A29-DB45C33343BC.jpg There’s a plug on the drivers side, right at the passenger door over the frame that leads into the rear floorboard. You have to pull the carpet back to get to it. I ran my coax through that plug. I slit it with a razor and just siliconed the hell out of it.

Before you use that one, there is a really good spot on the back of the cab, there is one on each side of the cab about 3/4 of the way down.

cool, I’ll check that out too. I’ve had a cb and parts laying around since September. Yesterday was my last day at work for now. So now I’ve got the time!

I located this on the outside driver side. On the inside there is the large black plastic wall/pocket. I took off the 3 10mm bolts. Can I just pull this straight off? What is the best procedure?

The plastic panel behind the seats just pops off once you removed the 10mm bolts. You can get to the hole after removing the driver side plastic panel.

ok, at the seam, is there a lip? Where the 1/3 side meets the 2/3 side. I just don’t want to break anything. Thank you so much for the quick replay before!

OK so there are 2 10mm bolts shown here (backside of the panel)

There is a hook (mine broke) that goes nito the top of the other panel
    [IMG]

There are these little clip things around all the sides, they just pull out
    [IMG]

There are these 2 push clips on the back, they also just pull out.

There will still be part of the C pillar trim covering the hole up, but with the big part out of the way you can easily get to the hole by just fishing your hand around.
