I have a newish 2016 Tacoma. It's been raining so often, I haven't washed my truck, but I've been washing the love bugs off with an electric pressure washer every now and then. I finally got to wash my truck since we have beautiful weather the next week or so and I got all the love bugs off, but I can see the splatters left behind after it dries. I've tried scrubbing and it isn't coming off.

Anyone has tips to get it off? It's on the plastic frame on my grill and bumper. Driving me crazy. Really would like to use something that won't scratch it.

They are slightly abrasive so not good for paint/glass but they work great on the plastic trim, just don't scrub too hard

This works great for bugs ... mix 3:1 in a spray bottle then spray on bugs and let sit a couple minutes (don't let dry) then the bugs/guts hose right off :)

Or as a kit with the scrubber: Then get a good wax like Collinite 845 ($18) on the front end. Or a sealer like Menzerna Powerlock. Duragloss 111 combined with 601 is also a good sealer (and cheap).

Lot of options out there. I like Duragloss Bug & Tar Remover. It's not suppose to harm your wax either.

    ^^THIS^^

I have a big maple tree over my driveway and last spring a branch broke causing sap to drip & splatter all over my hood & windshield. It was a layer of sticky goo. This stuff removed it with ease.

    What hasn't been modified?
For love bugs try a used dryer sheet.

I soak them with Simple Green or even regular car wash soap.

Then 10 minutes later I wipe them off like butta.

We don't have love bugs in Vermont, but this stuff works pretty well. If you can apply a sealant (or wax) that will generally help in removing bug residue.

I don't recommend using a magic eraser on paint. It will scratch.

Many don't realize how much a wax/sealer helps with being able to wipe off bug debris.

If nothing else, at the very least just put a polymer based quick wax (spray wax) on the front end (you know, if you're too busy to do the whole truck). Megs Ultimate Quick Wax or Duragloss Aquawax are probably the two best out there that are readily available and inexpensive. Hit the headlights, grill, trim, it's all good.

^^^This. Except I use one straight out of the box and keep it wet while working with it. Takes them Damn things right off. Rinse and wax/protect afterwards.
