I have a 09 TRD, and it has the rubber strips on the front doors (as shown). They are really dirty, and I want to clean them, but soap and water is {obviously} not working. Any suggestions? Also, would just be easier to take it off and replace it, or would that ruin the paint? And speaking of painting, I'd rather not do that just in case the silver is a couple shades off than the paint scheme already on the car.

    Thanks!IMG_3072.jpg IMG_3073.jpg IMG_3074.jpg IMG_3075.jpg

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Paint them or buy new ones

This. Looks like the sun has done most of the damage on those. Your better off just replacing.

They can't be more than a couple bucks lol, that cost is well worth whatever your time is to clean/paint the existing ones

I did some research, and the factory ones are running at over $100! Haha. Will it ruin the paint under the door edge guard if I take it off myself?

I would look for the trim elsewhere. My guess you could buy at auto parts store and cut it the lengths you need.

I would remove them a long with the pinstripping and not put it back on. It will just look shitty again.

You likely can polish the vehicle so you have no paint off color.

Use a heat gun and take your time. Be patient and don’t yank or tug.
