May be better to use denatured alcohol, IPA tends to leave behind a residue

Thanks for the recommendation, I keep Denatured Alcohol in stock all the time for when I make dies and shellac to Finnish furniture so I should be good to go.

Just make sure there is not any previous leftover product. You will want C4 on bare rubber.

Will do thank you, I am going to go through a full cleaning regime with a couple extra steps on th rubber and black trim. Just need to be careful as I don't want to effect the AMMO paint regiment that I already put on the paint this year.

I am due for a wash and a new layer of AMMO skin on the paint at the same time. So I need to be careful not to have any cross contamination.

No the rear window trim is part of the window frame assembly.

Post some photos of what the trim looks like and we can see if we can help you restore it.

I just started using C4 per ACE96 suggestion and it worked great.

One way to see if C4 will work for you is, clean the rubber really well then take IPA and wipe the trim. If the rubber looks the right color after wiping then C4 will work for you.

If it doesn't look right then I would go with solution Finnish first the C4

...^^^... Ditto ... I do the same with 303 and it works great.

I clean old rubber seals with diluted Dawn & vinegar and very soft brush.
