Wondering if there’s any way to get up under the seat mount to clean the rust? Just pulled up all the carpet to clean the rust off the flooring in my 2013 access cab and noticed a lot of rust under this mount thing too but no way to access as it looks to be welded?
Also side note - is all that welding all over the rear side of the flooring factory? I’m the second owner and I just thought it looked quite odd when I ripped up the carpet.

    Sound deadening, not weld.

Wire brush well, vacuum, get wiring off the metal, use rust converter on the rust and seams, paint with a high quality paint when dry. Use antiseize on all threaded fitting/nuts/bolts.

Ah makes sense. Thank you. Obviously not very familiar with any of this. Will try to get in under that mount area with a brush tomorrow. I had a wire wheel for the rest of it which worked out nicely today

    4 run, 2 don't
Wire wheel with angle grinder would make super quick work

Wear some safety glasses and a breather, you don't want to inhale that rust dust

Rustolium rust dissolver, mixed 50/50 with distilled water. Scrub with whatever brush you want.

Then rince off and wash with dish soap

Dry it off and apply a coat of corroSeal
