I'm not sure the brand of my shell, but it has that carpet like material on the walls and ceiling. I got it second hand some years ago and it shells like it could using a cleaning.

There are lights mounted to the ceiling but I don't have them hooked up - so the ceiling getting a little moist isn't a concern as far as it possible effecting the lights.

What can I use to clean the material? Would a carpet shampoo work?

If it's like mine, it's an outdoor type carpet.

I used Dawn, let it sit for a few minutes and then lightly agitate the carpet with your fingers. Then rinse and let dry.

I should probably mention when I did this, it was summer (hot days) and I took the shell off of the truck to do it. I bought mine second hand and it had been stored outside on stands when it wasn't on the truck (which IIRC was only used a few months out of the year), so the carpet smelled musty, full of spiderwebs and dirt/dust, etc,.

It needed a deep cleaning, so that's how I went about it. Having it upside down in the front yard and letting it dry in the heat of the day worked well and didn't harm any of the lighting, though I was more careful with the hose around that area.

If yours just has some dirty spots or something that doesn't require the type of cleaning I did, I'd probably still use Dawn and some water and pat dry the carpet afterward. For my carpet (it might be older than yours), any abrasion just made the carpet fibers break and rain down on me.
