Hey folks. I tried cleaning my "shifter window" earlier with water and I couldn't seem to get the weird grime that appears to have accumulated there. Would normal windex work? It just looks like glass. Any suggestions would be great!

When I say the "shifter window" I'm referring to the glass part by the stick shifter that lights up depending if you're in D, R, etc.

Probably plastic. I've usually had good luck getting anything up with Simple Green. It's plastic safe.

Don’t use ammonia or alcohol based products on clear plastic, it fogs up.

It kind of looks fogged up now. I used just water and then tried a Simonize cloth. Still there though
